Lyric Suite

An orchestration of four Lyric Pieces

Edvard Grieg's Lyric Suite is an orchestration of four of the six piano pieces from Book V of his Lyric Pieces, Op. 54. Both Grieg and the Austro-Hungarian conductor Anton Seidl (conductor for the New York Philharmonic) contributed to the orchestration. Grieg was not satisfied with Seidl's arrangements and revised them himself after Seidl's death.
