Halvorsen: Violin Concerto

Lost for hundred years!

Johan Halvorsen's Violin Concerto was lost for one hundred years before it was found in 2016. We know that the concerto was premiered by the young star violinist Kathleen Parlow and the Berlin Philharmonic in 1909. Many years of searching was not successful, until Canadian librarians once more went through Parlow's documents and scores. After the score was found, Norwegian Musical Heritage (Norsk musikkarv) worked fast to prepare a new edition of the work.
