One of the most famous choral works in the classical repertoire.
Mozart's Requiem, written on his deathbed, is one of the most famous choral works in the classical repertoire. He received an anonymous commission to compose the Requiem Mass. At the same time his health was deteriorating. Mozart threw himself obsessively into the work, but he didn't manage to complete it. He died aged 35 on 5 December 1791. It is believed that Mozart's pupil Süssmayr completed the score.
