Birkelund Ulvo: Woven Fingerprints

World Premiere of a new Piano Concerto.

The work was originally commissioned by Kristiansand Symfoniorkester and was completed in 2016, but was not performed before March 2020 here in Bergen. ''The piece is written for Ellen Ugelvik and Andreas Ulvo, and their own fingerprints are very much present'', says the composer about her work and goes on -  ''we leave traces all the time - musical traces, traces in the snow, in our body, and the climate leave traces in nature, traces which will be visible for a long time. Traces of a crisis.''
