A Wedding Present

Igor Stravinsky's Fireworks ushered in the era of Edward Gardner with a bang and a flourish. Stravinsky  composed the little piece as a wedding present to the daughter of his teacher, Nikolaj Rimsky-Korsakov. The piece was well received by the newlyweds.
